Dear Friends and Supporters,
Praise the Lord! On Sunday, February 19, a new church was started in Monteros, Tucuman! Missionary Larry Owens is leading this new church plant. This city has 40,000 people. They had 33 present for the first service and 6 saved during the invitation! The people present were adults and teenagers. This church is renting a building, chairs, and a PA system! They have many needs! Please pray for their need for 50 chairs. Praise the Lord for this new church!
Praise the Lord! This is exciting news! Missionaries Simeon and Susie Hudson just received their permanent visas from the government of Argentina. After four years of working on the paperwork, it has come to an end with great success. I’d like to tell you about the first time I walked into the Immigration Office. They told me “No” and gave me negative remarks about my request for visas for the Hudsons. Since then I have befriended an immigration agent. I have witnessed to him, visited his sick father, and led his father to Christ with Gospel tracts before he passed away. Now the Hudsons can stay in Argentina with official government blessing to do the work of church planting. Praise the Lord!
Pray for the need for Gospel tracts here in Argentina. I am in contact with some large, first-class printing companies that can print here locally by the millions. It will cost $0.01 for each black-and-white Gospel tract. For a full-color tract, it will cost up to $0.04 each, depending on the quality of paper and the size of the tract. I would like to place an order for 100,000 sometime soon. With a $10 gift, we can print and distribute 1,000 Gospel tracts. Our goal is ONE MILLION Gospel tracts per year distributed in Argentina and surrounding countries. Please pray!
Bethel Baptist Church had our Faith Promise Missions Conference February 24-25! Our church here is supporting 19 missionaries! We would like to add 2 new missionaries! Our people gave $13,000 to missions last year! Out of our people’s poverty, they gave by faith! Praise the Lord! I’m super excited about Bethel Baptist Church and what will happen in the next few months!
During the month of January and February, we were able to see 33 saved out soul winning door to door. I witnessed to two men sitting in front of their house. One was 83 years old, and the other was 78 years old. I went through the plan of salvation with them, and they wanted to get saved and accept Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour. Also during this time, we had many first-time visitors and 21 baptized at the church. Praise the Lord!
